They can not breed together...Next time, just type the word bump in the thread you want up, one time per day to get your post to the top of the list...BUMP means Bring up my post......It is used here all the time...Sorry about your other thread...

Good job man! That is how it is done...You bumped it and I see it again:D I guess it is slightly possible, but not likely...Try to be the first man, but post hybrid threads in the hybrid forum...I saw this on new posts and did not see the sub forum...I keep hybrids and new world cichlids...This is the CA/SA sub forum for pure fish, and pure fish topics...If you need help finding the hybrid forum let someone know....I will ask a mod to move this to hybrids for you, and edit this last sentence out of this post....lol

Many cichlid breeders consider combining 2 different species to be creating junk. It is a way, if fry survive, of diluting pure, perfectly good fish and creating unrecognizable mutts (scroll down to dovii/cuban) that in the end, have the possibility of contaminating future generations.
Many responsible keepers probably don't want to answer because it opens a contraversial can of worms.
But I'll add my 2 cents.
Try to find a true trimaculatus these days, it is nearly impossible because of the hybridization and unresponsible dilulution of the species.
Unless you are willing to use the hybrid fry as feeders, or otherwise destroy them, IMPO don't encourage hybidrization.
