Thanks for the info guys

1. You can look in the tank for snails.
2. You can pick off any snails on the plants that you see.
3. If worst comes to worst and you have snails you can buy clownn loaches and they eat TONS of snails. Theyre the best of the best.

just ask the person who gets the plants from you to check over the plant. make sure they do a good job of checking it over and then check it over for yourself. I work at a private pet store and my boss checks all the plants over for eggs and snails, but theirs no sure way of preventing them with LP's.

Well that will take care of your snail problem. lol.

Haha, you guys are silly. Are you wanting to get rid of the snails because of the look, or because you are afraid they will eat the plants? Many snails that hitch-hike in on plants are not going to harm your plants. Also, the eggs to most of these species are too small to see without assistance. Some of the hitch-hiking species are also quite useful. If you want to make sure you have absolutely no snails in, or on the the plants when you buy them, get an ich medicine and dose a small tank with about a 1.5 dosing, and dip the plants several times.

Most snails reproduce very quickly. However, it isn't out of control. It is dependent on how much you are feeding.
