Well that actually would be a problem. But later in the day, my pond becomes covered in shade. One of my turtles is a big time basker, so this is what we setup. It works great during the winter. I'm pretty sure UVB's don't get reflected as well, but she gets those in the morning. She'll fallow the light all afternoon.
