I have my 10 gallon tank outside and every day it looses about 1-2" of water due to its so hot in florida... and i just add water normmaly... so my question is, i'm getting a bigger tank out there around 55 gallons do i still have to do water changes with all the evaporation? I could just fill it then 1 week later it will have liek 7" of water gone then fill it again?

Simple science. To distil water you evaporate the water and have it travel to a cooling tank leaving behind the crap that was in the water....

umm what? i was just asking if i leave my tank out on the deck do i still have to do water changes due to the heat and humidity evaporating the water.?

but from reading that im guessing yes?

i dont think the evaporation removes the polution with it... it would still be better for youur fish if you remove some water and replace it

Blah :( there no lazy way to take care of fish lol... waho water changes!

The pollutants you remove during a water change is NOT removed with the water the evaporates out of the tank. As the water evaporates, the toxins increase their concentration due to less water being in the tank. Do that over and over and over, you'll have a bunch of floaters on your hands before you know it.

:( dont want floaters.. only good thing about tanks outside are water changes = easy!

lol

Simply put YES you still need to do wter changes-Anne

yea, :( o well my 120gallon is stuck with native fish that i dont like all that much but o well...

so im getting a 20 gallon and a 55 gallon to do what ever i want :)

You sound like the perfect candidate for rallysman's "No water change Super Duper Drip water system" Check out his thread it's awsome. There are several derivatives of this to such as hillbilly's and etc.

With this system ALL your problems are solved, you have reached nervona...
