I got a new aquaclear 110 and it is in the room i sleep in and it is really noisy. I removed the lid and the noise is still there. it's as if the impeller is rattling around. I need help fast, this is really annoying!

Disassemble the motor and see if theres any sand or debris. Its really easy. I believe a quick google can tell u how.

I found aquaclears to be noisy when brand new or after a thorough cleaning but become silent after a few days.

Call hagen have them send you a new impeller shaft if it has not gotten better. 6 months down the road when it gets loud again replace the shaft with an eheim ceramic shaft which will last quite a bit longer.

I have the 2217 shaft in mine, it too long but you can cut it or use it until it breaks at the right length.

I've found that new and newly cleaned AC's tend to be loud. If you leave them alone for long enough they build up gunk/slim that tends to coat the impeller and quiet it down.

Perhaps a little vasoline on magnet? Works for me.

+1. I actually neglect cleaning the impeller on my AC110's on a regular basis due to this lol. A couple days after cleaning them the noise subsides though. I would give it a few days and see if the noise lessens
