just started runnin my pump (iwaki) for my sump for a few minutes to check if there were any leaks in my new wet dry set up.. everythin was runnin fine.. then all of a sudden my pump starts makin a squealing noise. anyone ever have this problem? what could it be?

My first guess would be to check the air on the joints. When my friends work on cars and that we would use soap on all the joints and see if it bubbles, for an aquarium though water would have to suffice. Otherwise I know some kind of pumps require oil but that would probably be in the instruction manual for the pump.
Might have sucked something up inside the impeller, being a new setup there could have been something small floating around. Maybe take it apart and check to make sure nothing is in there.
hmmm, well i took apart what i could and its just some plastic pieces and the magnet part. didnt find anythin. and the water line seemed ok.
