Ordered 2 of the Artemia hatcheries from Brine Shrimp Direct and I am extremely impressed. I started the batch Monday and to my surprise most of the eggs Hatched Tuesday morning. The dish performed like stated not 1 egg case was in the collection cup when I lifted up to feed the BS to my Pencil fish and Rummynose Tetra. I would recommend this hatchery to any one that is not mass breeding. Very simple.add salt water and eggs and any light the newly hatched brine will swim there so collecting is fast. duanes duanes links on feeding fry brought my attention to this type of hatchery. 15923672652392106897283.jpg

These caught my attention about 10 years ago, after the initial trial, I bought another dish and start and rotate them about 2 days apart.

As soon as the one is pretty much used up, I toss the old shells and water outside in one of those preform pond that are in reality too small for fish, when some seemingly dead eggs then hatch in the sun.
I am always amazed at how many adult shrimp end up in the algae filled/greenwater.
