I have a 15 inch oscar in a 135 gallon tank. Right now he is with a leporinus and a Raphael cat (that I never see). I was trying to think of some good tank mates for him. He has become very territorial towards other cichlids so they are out of the question (he beat up my Paratilapia and Electric blue jack dempsy, who are now friends for some reason). I don't want to write what I was thinking for his tank mates so as to bias anybody, but I am looking for some interesting fish that swim around the tank.

Silver Dollars
Giant Danios
Pleco
4 Lines Pims Catfish
bichir
Plus alot more . . .

definitely some bichirs would be great they would just have to already be large enough to not be though of as worms by the O lol you could do a delhezi and a ornate they would be cool, for the delhezi i suggest a wc one as they have better markings and colors than most captive bred ones

I already have a bichir tank (del, sen, albino sen, tire track eel, zig zag eel, paratilapia, electric blue jack dempsy).

Giant danios I worry would become food, remember he is 15 inches (about 40 cm).

A pleco, which I was probably going to get, does not really swim around which is what I am looking for.

The pimodella is intriguing, but I would probably have to put it in my 300 gallon at some point and was really looking for something to keep with the oscar permanently.

The gourami sounds interesting, it would have to be a larger one though, like a kissing gourami, unless you guys can think of another type.

silver dollars sound nice also since they would be swimming around a lot.

Any other sugguestions? Thanks and keep em coming.

I love clown loaches, but I am too cheap to spend that much on a fish. I prefer anyways to grow out all my fish. My favorite part of being a monster fish keeper is growing your monster from a tiny guy to a monster. I have grown loaches before from about an inch to about 6 inches, but they did not survive my move unfortunately, and I was heart broken and have not bought any since.
