Milky Way Galaxy,
Hey guys I have a 10g just with a male crown tail beta (might add a female if possible). Any recommendations for peaceful non fin nipping fish? First time ever buying a "peaceful" fish hahaha.

Not dianos or tiger barbs. Neons, guppys, and swordtails would look good and live peacefully.

Pygmy cories and ottos.

What are ottos? Sword tails would look neat, ill probably go with some of those,I thought neons nipped a bit though? I was considering them though.

Ottos are little algae eaters. Cool looking fish. They look like chinese algae eaters.

I have had bettas that ate everything including sword tails and neon sarpe and bleeding heart. I had one that was fine for 1.5 years then it started eating the others. If you combine him with a female have another tank as they only get along while mating. Before mating he will eat her(excuse the pun) and as soon has he has squeezed the eggs out of her he will then attack again. In the wild they have lots room to run and hide. In a tank there is no place to go.

But if the tank is heavily planted to the point where there is no line of sight would maybe 4 females to 1 male be fine? I was thinking of doing giant bettas.

Definitely can't do multiple bettas in a 10 gallon even if its heavily planted. Way too small.

I had a king male and a halfmoon together in a 15g bowfront. Fine. No decor. straight bare. had fantail GF in there. But I really dont recommend fantails....starting to bite at the fins.. of the halfmoon and scales :(
