decided to fish non go bye again today
got there at about 3 o clock in the afternoon with my lass she sat and read her magazines and just chilled out while i was pulling out the fish, so yes got there at 3 and i decided to fish 2 rods 1 was my 9ft Fox stalker rod
( Thanks Paul  ) with shimano baitrunner, this was set up for carp, the bait i started out with was plain and simple good old sweetcorn, but only it wasn't workin today so i changed over to my mixed pellets and PVA using 15mm meaty marine boilies, i got a few knockes and bites but nothing leading to and strong runs so i kept this biat on only changing the sizes of the PVA pellets bags by cutting them in half i wasn't there to feed the fish so by reducing the sizes of the bags it would let the fish compete more for the goodies
i eventually got a run and a struck the rod didn't get much of a fight thought it was only about a pound or so in weight but as soon as it realized it had a hook in its mouth it woke up and unhooked it's self.... bummer !
not that long after about 8.30pm i had a real promising run struck the rod again and hooked into a nice little mirror carp for a small fish it gave me such a good scrap i was playing the fish for a good 5 mins really fun fighting on the small stalker rod  finally got the fish landed and weighed it for my own peace of mind and it weighed in at 6lb 2oz. the picture really dosent do this fish any justice really because the orange in it's tail was really vibrant a beautifull thick mirror
On the second rod i was fishing i chose to use my 12ft match rod and was fishing inserted waggler float about 2ft deep and 6" overdepth i was hoping to bag a tench but couldn't fight off all the roach must have had about 20 or so roach some really small ones and a couple of nice big one weighing just under a pound the bigger roach fell to some red worms while the smaller ones were relishing the red maggots, couldn't manage to bag any of the other species such as, chub, tench, catfish, bream, skimmer bream, but here are some pix for you guys there should be a prize for the biggest roach becuse some of the roach you guys have caught are apauling .... lol lol lol
So Team Punishment have bagged another 3 points for the Rod Warriors Species Hunt woo hoo yeahhhhh !!!
