Noob angel owner..

Ok i got a tank off a friend that came w/ an angel fish in it. Its not a large angel and i moved it to my dads 35gal hex tank(which i take care of) and it has started laying eggs like crazy. Whats the point if theres no male? My dad is getting annoyed at it for chasing the other fish while protecting the eggs so i may have to move it if it doesnt stop. I just find it odd that it started doing this w/o a male in the tank..the previous owner said she had it for awhile and never saw any eggs..

This happens a lot. It's totally normal.
What size tank was it in before?

It was in a 20gal. Ive just never had fish randomly lay eggs so i thought it was odd.. but ive never had an angel either..

It's completely normal. You have nothing to worry about.

Preventing her from laying, I have no idea how to stop that.

yea, ive heard about this happening before too, angels lay eggs without males but none will survive cuz they wont get fertilized. maybe if you get a male and try to pair them lol, then it will be worth it =)

At least you know that the fish is happy. All the water parameters are perfect. Find a male!
