I have been taking care of fish for 5 years now, had all the types of goldfish and tropical, now going to chilids. Need some tips and food advice. Looks like they like the blue moonlight I have..

I have a 20 gal. with

2 albino paradise 1-2"

2 clown knife 5-6"

3 blue mystry snail- but only 1 in in the 2o right now. The other too is cleaning my moms tank.

Here the pic of my fish...more to come..

Yup....just one of your clown knifes will be bigger than your tank pretty soon.Sounds like you need a 180 gallon tank for those two

They'll definitely need a bigger tank in the near future. It looks a bit beat up. Are the CKs getting along?

True, it does look kinda beat up....I'd keep an eye on the tank.....seriously, you need a LARGE tank to house these guys, and VERY soon....if it was me, I'd have the tank set up and cycled already.

no i believe its my rocks there kinda sharp and I dont think I will be getting a bigger tank anytime soon, but If they grow 7-8 inchs I will have to get rid...But I just bought them yesterday and didnt noticed they were scratched. I need a good hiding spot as well, they love the plants....they lay on them and sleep, but the moon light is awesome with them.I think they ate the chilid pellets i left last night, crap is gone...lol. but going to have to get some smooth rocks

if you are planning on getting rid of them when they get to be 7" you might as well get rid of them now.

depending on how you feed them they can grow quite rapidly from the size you have them to monster. mine was 5" febuary 2006 and was 15" by febuary 2007 and he is still growing. i would suggest reading the sticky on clown knife care asap
