I am looking for suggestions on plants I am starting my first large tank it is 42inches tall so once on a stand I will have to get a ladder to work in it. I am looking for a plant that will take over and cover the bottom with no co2 and no interaction from me. I will be unable to reach them. I was thinking of a moss.

Dwarf hairgrass or dwarf baby tears should work.

I was doing some reading on dwarf hair grass I may try and get some started in one of my small tanks while getting everything set up for my big tank. So exited moving from a 40 breeder tank to 200+ gall I want to just start putting water in but I know if I take my time now and do it right it will be less stress in the long run

Honestly Hairgrass sounds like the better option of the two, as baby tears as it grows will lift off the substrate more and need maintenance more due to the denser growth...

Light may also be a problem for baby tears in such a tall tank unless you got some strong lights for their requirements???

So from a purely personal P.O.V i’d go with hairgrass...
