noob question but can fresh water rays get ichs?

noob question but can fresh water rays get ichs? if so do they get it easy? never had a ray before and im planning on getting one later this week or two.

I would think so. I wouldn't see why they couldn't as they are very sensitive.

A local fish store here had some flower rays that had ich.
Their edges of their disks were grayish and they lost 2 of them.

It may not have been ich. If they were out of Brazil it was a bacterial thing.

Definitely sounds more like bacteria or disc rot than ich. Anyways, ich is like the last thing you would worry about with rays, you should be more concerned about the internal/external parasites, bacterial infected, and disc rotting wc rays that usually come in to unknowledgable LFS.

WRONG, D. sabina or atlantic rays isnt illegal in cali. It's just that they are saltwater.
