I feel like a noob and it may be simply I forgot, Ok after i sit my 225 up and get it a canister up, I will have like 6 AC110s, I feel they are wasted, then on over to my 72 bowl in my room i am setting up next, as stated in another thread I want it showy and no heater in tank or to keep refilling to negate the waterfall sound. I am keep looking at flow rates on canisters vs flow on AC, I am finding no canister can match 2x AC except maybe an fx6. I really dont want to run 5x due to power consumption. Idk, what would you run on a 72x bowl front to make it look nice. I mean I feel bad having a pile of ACs. What is a good rate of filtration for a 72, with 7 Angels, 15 rummynose and and 10 cories. I also am taking into fact the size chambers for media in canister compared to HOB, which will be half matrix half course sponges with floss some where as well. I like the aquatop 500 but hear so many loves or hates, no middle ground, a 2217 or a fuval 406

I have no clue how to do that, lol can you buy it or is it a DIY

You can buy systems or piece it together its actually pretty easy. My sump is a 55g with 2 sterilite container holding all the bio media and filter pads. Check out uarajoey on you tube his videos show how to make everything for filtration. I will post more pics later of my setup

i havnt heard alot of good stuff about the sun sun, i mean this is going in my house, fish room has concrete floor so water spillage is alright, got a guy on Cl selling a ehiem pro 3, said he might trade me 2x AC for it

2 are in the basement, 1 is inside the house. JC1119 has 2 of these units for 2 years with no issues. If you read enough about any products, including FX and Eheim, you'll find bad reviews/issues. There are people who will automatically turn their nose up at no-name or inexpensive products.

You could also consider the hydor inline heaters with the eheim canister.
