Noob question...

I have not yet had exp with fresh water sting rays and I was wondering if an Under Gravel Filter like this one made by CHOMPERS http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69943 would be ok for sting rays.

normally you don't want to use gravel with stingrays. you normally want to have sand.

I could add sand to the bottom of this under sand filter.

just get a couple fx5s and call it good, the more surface area left on the bottem is better

I wouldnt imagine that it would work or be any good in a ray tank as it would get stirred up go for a sump or canisters
