Noob question...

Hey everyone, I am relatively new to the hobby and I had a quick question. How much luck has everyone had buying fish online. I live in Salina, KS and there is one LFS but it does not offer a wide variety of fish to choose from, and there is a PetCo but all the fish are ich-ridden and have fin rot or just luck unhealthy. I would like to order some Blue Rams from liveaquaria.com or another reputable site. How do the fish come (bag of water? etc) and what is the health and quality of shipped fish. Any advice would be more than helpful. thanks!

Jeff Rapps gets Blue Rams in. Fish come healthy as a horse even with 2 day delivery from Rapps. Rams can't really deal with much stress anyways but they will be ok. They will be washed out at first but give them a week and will be all colored up. They come in a bag of water with newspaper wrapped around and then double bagged. Put into a styrofoam box with a heat pack and then taped the hell out of and shipped.

I just got fish from Fish Room Plus, Rehobothaquatics and Atlantic Tropical Fish. I got them next-day (don't want to chance 2-day). They came over great (thanks Alex, Afroman and Jon). Of course, YMMV.
