I am constructing a pond and am going to put in sharks. The actual enclosure itself is built but I'm not sure what the filtration set up is. Please give me an idea of what I'll need. the pond is around 2300 gallons I'm planning on keeping smoothhounds and possibly horn sharks or wobbegongs.

Well - it depends on the exact dimensions of the pond - Smoothhounds are iffy at best, But Cali Horns, and small wobbies are definitely possible for a 2300 gallon pond.

As for Filtration - Think biological. So basically you'll need a sand filter, refugium, a good Protein Skimmer, Live Rock, Live Sand, and good macro-algae.

Ken is right thats all you need. etss makes some good skimmers. Now that I have mine dialed in right, they work awesome. Also if you are close to ny I know someone that makes really nice customs skimmers for large set ups. when I set up a larger system I am going to have him build me one.
