Noob to Fronts. Suggestions ?

Hey all, I really like them, and am thinking of picking up a modest tank (80-100g) and id really like some suggestions.

There are so many types, i've seen a random pic here and there of a Sp. that I really like, but I can't seem to find them again...

I'm looking for some info on the fronts that have a lot of blue, I just need the Sci names and i'll search for the rest

For life they will need a tank that is atleast 6ft. Also check the Fronts sticky. It has a lot of this information complied in one place.

Ah, I looked at the stickiest but completely missed that one. I just saw the Front picture one.

Hrmm, I thought a 100g might be sufficient, I wasn't planning on too many.

They get big and spook easy. If it is anything really smaller they will have no where to swim off to and run into the tank walls.

I see, I guess I didn't think they were that skittish. I've had a fish take off into the glass on me when I was young (Wild caught Blue Gill) bad way to go.

The bluest Fronts are the Zaire's.......Moba, kapampa, Kitumba but they are also the most expensive.

The Tanz varients are also nice...... Ikola, Kipili, Mpimbwe, Samazi.

Check into getting a used 6 foot tank if you cant afford new (I have one new and one used tank).

I have the mpimbwe and really like them. Nice and blue and much more reasonable priced compared to the zaires. If you dont have your heart set on a zaire then the tanz like mpimbwe for example are a real good altenative. A couple of mine are so blue they are almost a purple blue !!

my personal fav are mpimbwi blue i think that they are a nicer colour than the zaire and also sometimes the zaires go black wen they are older but haven't seen no were near as many mpimbwis go black
