hello and ty in advance. these will be some really noob questions on wet dry's. i have been waiting 2 months for tomorrow. my 150 gallon tank will finally be here and i will be working all day to get water in it.

i ordered: CPR SYS 2000 Wet/Dry Filter Package

i started looking through my parts and pieces and it seems i am missing some parts. it also seems that the 2 outlets on the intake and outtake were reversed. (the tube coming from the overflow only fit in the piece that was going from the outtake, so i reversed them.) and the tubes are not long enough.

1. does this all seem normal or am i messing something up?
2. should i use a silicone sealant on everything?
3. any one have recommendations on what parts and pieces other than a plumbing store?
4.any advice is very appreciated.

realized i should be more specific. i can not find the pieces to get the rio pump to hook up to the outgoing tube. nothing seems to fit right.

If you're having problems getting the tubing to fit over the return pump output nozzle, you can take a hair dryer and get a screw driver with a handle slightly larger than the tubing. Take the hair dryer and warm up the end of the tubing. Stick the handle of the screw driver into the end and work it around to open up the opening a bit. The tubing should now fit over the nozzle of your return pump. If need be, you can use a "C" clamp to tighten it down. And when I say "sump" I mean the wet/dry.

As for the other stuff, I don't quite understand what the problem is. I'm more of a visual guy, so if you had a picture to explain it, it might help others figure out the solution. It shouldn't really matter. You need one tube from the main tank to the sump and then another tube from the sump's return pump back up to the main tank. As long as you accomplish that, it doesn't matter how you get there. ;)
As for silicone, I would stay away from it. I don't use any on any of my stuff. Everything fits snug. Never know when you have to take it apart again.
I use overflows/sumps in both my 90g tanks and I love them! Wouldn't use any other type of filtration system and recommend overflows/sumps to anyone who asks!

Good luck!
