Its my day to be a noob. Im looking into something new for my tanks. I have about 565gls of tanks..... Ive done saltwater, brackish and freshwater. Ive had seahorses and large mini monsters (Foot Long Freshwater Species). I was wondering about what I havent tried. 2 Things came up in mind. Since Ive done seahorses before. How about Stingrays. Since I live in FL cant do the freshwater rays. And atlantic rays produce to much waste in Freshwater. I would go with a saltwater ray. Or a Angler, or a Freshwater Bichir. So I figured research all 3 and see whats the best choice.

With all this in mind I also have to think what would be my final tank. If I go off to college would I be able to take the tank with me? Or not? And would I be able to supply the tank? Theres many questions.... But thats still 3 years ahead. I might just have to sell the ray to one of you guys before I go off to college and get me another after college.

Well any ways....

Ray Questions:
1. Would a ray be able to live in a 180gl? Just talking about 1 ray. Or 2 if small enough. and whats the smallest SW Ray?

2. Food Choices. Along with live foods.. Would I able to feed it live crayfish? and Frozen Shrimp?

3. Any other tips you can give me?

Im thinking about a 180gl tank. With Blue lighting system? Heavy Skimming... Big Filter maybe the Fx5?

Bump?

180 might be a touch small for any adults from the marine end.
Coretez, yellow and round rays are good to start with. They stay fairly small, and are fairly hardy.
