Hi I will be going to Santa Cruz tomorrow my husband wants to surf I want to look for fish. We are going from lake tahoe going down HW 50. I'm on the hurt for discus. So anyone know of any stores I should hit up in sac, Santa cruz or any town on the way let me know thanks.

i'm in sac, here's the ones i recommend in order of preference:

- JoJo aquarium
- Aqua Workz
- Exotic aquarium
- O st aquarium (mostly saltwater)
- Aquarium Depot
- Capitol aquarium (total dump)

in south bay, ive only been to a few, and these were pretty cool:

- Connie's
- King aquarium
- aquarium showroom

If you are in the city of San Francisco, a good place for discus is Ocean Aquarium and Fairy Lake Discus Palace.

Santa Cruz to San Francisco is almost a 100 mile drive.

If you happen to pass by Stockton, try Twins Aquarium for discus. He has some real nice ones.

i live in santa cruz lfs are horrible the only decent one is in watsonville its called tropaquarium there is one in santa cruz called tropaquarium also not nearly as good but if you want to go to san jose there are some amazing stores the aquarium showroom is first on the list and then king lastly the blue lagoon its been pretty hot up here were is he going to surf?
