Normal Cichlid Behavior?

You can hear teeth on the pot. I don't know if I should be worried. Should I take the pots out?

Just bored and being.... well, a cichlid. Throw in a handful of gravel or a plastic plant at the waters surface and watch what he does. He just needs a few more toys. Cichlids are master decorators. He'll arrange it the way he wants

Seriously though, I don't think the pots will cause him any harm. He's an awesome fish with a lot of attitude. Like JC1119 said you should add some gravel..that will give him something to move around so he won't be so focus'd on the pots.

Great looking guy! I agree with adding substrate to the tank and maybe some more decore, Pool filter sand is great and he'll spend hours rearanging it into piles, it will also stop him from focusing all his attention on the pots. He is a very cool fish I love the tude. Good luck with him.

I would add some gravel and fake plants... just kind of toss em in after you've cleaned it all off obviously and just let him go to town decorating it.
