Normal for Senegal?

I have a young Senegal Bichir and I just noticed him today starting to hang out on top of my tank on the heater. Not the part that heats but the knob (he's using it like a shelf). Aside from that eating and water parameters normal. Is this common? Is he showing signs of stress?

Most of mine did the same thing. Until they couldnt fit anymore

Young bichirs tend to like to hide in floating plants. Some of mine still do it sometimes. Perfectly normal.
