Normal pleco aggression?

My pleco is harassing my red tail cat, I just adde my red tail to the tank that the pleco is in and it's constantly being chased around and being sucked on! Any help? I might just get rid of it.

I had the same problem. I have/had like one big Pleco in each of my tanks ranging in size from 8" to 18". I had a 14" one doing the sucking thing...and I couldn't put him in another tank because then there would be two big Pleco's in the same tank and they would fight. So I got rid of him (sold him).

Seems to be a personality thing...since my 18" Pleaco has never bothered anyone (fingers crossed).:)
 
Try giving it some algae pellets or sinking pellets.
