Put him in a bigger tank with lots of current, and powerfeed. make sure you keep an eye on the water quality so theat they don't get fungus. With all of the above mentioned, they will still not grow "as fast as you wanted". Just enjoy it and teach it to eat from your hands, minus the fingers of course.
