I've been lurking in this forum off and on, but finally decided to register since I'm getting ready to get back into the hobby.
Currently, I'm maintaining(for a friend) a small bio-orb(I think it's a 4 gallon) which I absolutely can't stand, but haven't been able to talk the owner into moving her fish(not quite certain what kind it is) and snail colony into something a little less annoying to work with.
For myself, I'm working on 2 tanks, the first being a 55 gallon my fiance and I will be getting once we move into our new home and get settled. Mostly it will house a small group of freshwater fish and relatively hardy freshwater plants my fiance and I can both agree upon as a way of getting me back into the habit of caring for a real planted tank for the first time in almost half a decade.
The second tank will be my first(and probably only) foray into building a "mega" tank. from the calculations I've been able to do, the tank will be able to hold just over 3000 gallons. The tank will probably house a few small schools of tetras, 4-8 discus, a handful of corydoras, and a few other small species that I haven't fully decided on yet. I'll be posting more about this tank later in other parts of the forum.
