North American Substrate

I am getting a redfin and I wanted to know what the best substrate for it would be I want the closest to his natural and safest

I would suggest a nice, orange chip agrogate sold at Home Depot for 5 bucks for 50lbs. They call it sand, but its more like small pea gravel, approximately 1/8" size. It gives a great natural look to a tank.

Its inert and easy to clean, but possibly too sharp for some burrowing species.
