how is that a tiger muskie as i believe the shoaling fish are roach not a north american species, anyone want to agree with me?

secondly the poster is from the netherlands so its most likely to be northern pike, as muskie dont exist there.

tiger muskie has vertical stripes, and northern pike has horizontal blotches.

If there are regular muskies in netherland then they could breed with northern pikes to produce tiger muskies.

should have said there are no muskies at all in the netherlands as far as i know.

check this http://www.muskie.ws/

secondly that pike cant be that big or that would be a huge trout. northerns do have that pattern when young

It could be a juvie nothern pike being that it does have light markings on dark background. But I have to say of all the juvie northern pikes with stripe pattern I've seen are less than 12", and that this fish looks longer.
