Hello, I've got my 240 gallon up and running a couple of months ago.
The guy I bought the asian Arowana from, had a 530 gallon stainless steel tank (And fish to go in that tank)

The dimensions are 98x40x31.5

I havent seen many stainless steel tanks, and im open for suggestions on how to scape the tank (paint or 3d background)
The tank will be built in a wall, only showing the front glass

I also got a 100 gallon tank to use as a sump. I think I want to do a moving bed setup with 100 litres of K1 (open for feedback on this aswell)

The tank will house:
1 Leopoldi stingray
1 black Arowana
1 Megalodoras uranoscopus
1 Oscar
1 Severum
1 True parrot cichlid
7 red hook silver dollar

I’ve never even heard of a stainless steel tank. Pretty cool. If the glass is only thing showing than I suppose you can scape just like any other tank based on what you like.... I guess you’d have to use some aquarium safe paint and roll the inside though, looks like the back wall is stainless?

Yes the back wall i also stainless. Im debating on what color to paint, and do i have to use epoxy, or just spray paint it?

Krylon Fusion may work for you, but it needs a few days to get chip resistant.
Looking forward to this setup!

Agreed, in the right modern-decor type of setting that could be a jaw-dropper with the exterior polished up. Almost a shame to build it in and hide it.

That couldn't have been cheap to buy...it sure as heck wasn't cheap to build!...so why risk using some cheap unknown paint on the inside? I'd epoxy it, in black or dark blue.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the idea of polishing, but I have a lot of things and plumbing to hide...

I'm sure it was expensive to built, but I got it with the stand for $200, it was a steal :)

I've looked at Pond Armor epoxy paint, any other suggestions?
And what turnover would you recommend for a 100gallon moving bed sump (100 litres k1)

Definitely do not spray paint it. I can't tell you how many times I keep seeing this advise repeated over and over again, but Krylon fusion is NOT aquarium safe. It will bubble and peel like any other spray paint under water in time. Doesn't matter how many coats or how long you wait between coats. I was reluctant to recommend any sort of paint for the inside because, I have no experience with a stainless aquarium.. I'm not sure but I would imagine that the stainless would be fish safe. Any idea how that tank was sealed?
