So our lovely girl has started with a nose-bruise over the last couple of weeks. Please tell me these can or do go away, and/or what to do about it.

Her tank's nearly 8' long but only 18" wild - she's not that long just yet, but certainly overgrown the space. Her pond is pegged out & partially dug but won't be done/sealed for another 6weeks. Plus, stormy nights won't be warm enough until Feb. (tent & heating is planned for the fall).
There's no wound, just a dent & bump & light patch.

In the immediate term do I increase/reduce surface current, for example? Feed more to reduce interest in front-glass? I'm doing that already/now, but thinking this will increase growth to exacerbate the problem pending pond.

Is this going to be permanent, like those tiger cats & iridescent sharks I see as rescues?
That'd be a shame as she's pretty morpho-perfect otherwise (touch-wood), and it's been a lot of work, luck & crossed-fingers to keep her there.

Probably got that small blemish from rubbing against the aquarium glass. Like you stated in a bigger space that probably won't be a issue and possibly heal. Nice looking Silver Arowana.
