I have poison ivy for the 4th time in the last 8 months. 2 Of them were violent, one of them stayed a couple days and this one is festering up really fast. Not only am i getting it right now before my february break starts :nilly::nilly: i am super allergic to poison ivy..... So i am taking like 2 showers a day and adding this ointment. So hope it doesn't go far..... anyone else really allergic to poison ivy?

my dad is allergic. the last time he got it was when he went on a hunting trip. it looked nasty after a few days.

I get it bad enough to have to go on steroid treatments. I found this scrub that works wonders to shrink the affected areas and prevent it from spreading. You may want to check it out. It's called Tecnu Extreme. This stuff also stops the itching in seconds.

i will write this down and tuck it away for summer gardening.. when somehow i always seem to run into the one and only plant growing among my flowers in the gardens.:irked:.and then i break out and live in fear tending to the plants i love.... thanks...

Ouch man.. I know the feeling. I can look at a poison ivy vine and get it all over me.

I met an old Indian shaman guy here who told me to take honeysuckle leaves and grind them up into a paste and use that on any affected area. I haven't tried it yet, because luckily I haven't been around any poison recently.

He seemed like a wise fellow with a natural way of aiding things. It might be worth a try.
