I currently only have 2 pbass in my tank. All my water parameters are perfect and have been thar way for a long time. Ph is kinda high but it's always been that way. One of the pbass is eating like crazy and the other one looks hungry and will hit the food but then he spits. It's been about a week and he is giving up on hit the food. They are about 7 inches long. I feed them market shrip and have been for months. But sometime I give them feeders every now and then. I think he might be sick any ideas?

If he is hitting the food and then spitting it out, it sounds like he just has decided that he no longer likes what you are feeding him. If he was sick he would most likely show no interest in food at all. I would suggest trying a few other options to see if you can get him to eat.

Does he not hit and eat the feeders?

Is it common for them to stop eating what they have been crushing for 4 months.
And
I stopped with the feeders a few weeks ago after losing fish too what might have been deadly feeders.

Treat the feeders first.Ya sometimes you get a picky bugger!!;)

I through some feeders in and he ate some. He didn't really crush them like he usto but he ate. I think I am going to try to mix their diet up a little more and see what happends.

Im having the same problem with my two bass. I was wondering if swiching the food around for a couple of days has worked for you.

Thats a good idea ! try freeze dried krill once you get him eating good again.See if you can get them eating on the surface.

just like people p bass like and need variety, if they only wanna take feeders, they will most likely takes worms, which are always easy to find:), try to give him the worms instead of feeders, and mix it up throughout the week if they are loosing interest with there norm food. blood worms, krill, pellet, mysis shrimp, etc, unless you quarantine the feeders for a bit before, goldfish feeders arent really to great for them anyhow
