i have a few questions about oxygen inside my 10 gal tank, i have a aquaclear 50 right now and the water level is alittle more then one finger below the rim. the filter gives off bubbles on the top of the surface but i dont know if its enuff, my tempaure is at around 78 degrees. this is a new tank and has not been cycled yet (2nd day) if two fish wasnt doing anything sitting on the gravel then i change 10% of the water and they swam around more, so just woundering if i have enuff oxgen inside my tank or do i have to but another air pump.

You have enough oxygen. An AC 50 will create more than enough surface agitation to provide oxygen for a 10 gallon.

i would buy a little are pump just to be safe you can pick one up for 10$ anyway

I agree, nothing more would be needed here.

^ right way enough oxygen, fish will come to surface if there isnt enough
also, water changes naturally "disturb" or amuse the fish so they move a little more

^agreed...the fish are probably just not natually active fish...when you stir around and change water u'll stress them a bit and they'll move around scared...if you were low on o2 then they would be at the top or at least moving some.

Not ever needed unless you are way way way under filtered. Air stones are for people who think they look "nifty" and for people who are setting up their first tank (dont know better). Why spend $10 when your oxygen levels are already more than adequite?

I would say the problem lies with the fact the tank is not cycled and it 2 days old. What fish do you have? You shouldnt have an ammonia spike yet unless you have some big BIG fish in that little tank. But I would put money on either somthing wrong with the water parameters or your fish were purchased sick or else just boring fish.

Maybe take a pic?

Good Luck

its really werid cause when my lights are off they are kinda livey but when its on they just sit on the gravel all scared, is my light too bright? its a life-go 6700k. also i took ALL mt drift wood and rocks out cause i had an issue with PH and everything so just to be on the safe side i thought i take everything out until my tank is cycled. its been 3 days and still no ammoia.... i want my tank to cycle already... well here is a pic of my 10 gal with lights on, as you can see the fishes are just laying there but when the light is off they swim around and everything.

WOW this pic is too pic lol

it has already started. as soon as the fish pee the cycling process has started. it'll usually take one to two months to fully mature. btw firemouths in a 10? they'll outgrow that so have someone lined up to take em or please have another larger tank ready
