i bought some frozen silversides thinking i was getting my fish a nice treat but not one of em will even give em a second look. i was told by my LFS that some people will soak them in vitaminC and the fish would gobble em up, but i wanted a second ...or third opinion. so what do you guys think.is there some other dietary supplement i can enrich them with...maby like some of that stuff bodybuilders take.just kidding. but any input would be appriciated.

Vitamins will not make food more palatable, only more nutritious.

First of all - are you washing them? They are saltwater "minnows" - maybe they are sold to you with saltwater, or at least still unwashed.

Second - I used to live on Cape Cod and mass-collected my own, and froze them for food (or used fresh) NOT all fish like them. Sometimes chopping them up in small chunks make the fish enjoy them more, but they do have sharp noses that fish don't generally like swallowing.

so would you recomend any vitamins in particular?for just general good health.
i usually remove the heads and soak them in tap water to thaw out but ill try to cut em up and rinse em under running water.we'll see.
thanks alot for the tips

First of all, no need to "vitaminize" what is already good protein. Fish by itself is a great source for proteins, etc. So don't worry about "dipping it" or anything like that. I think the previous suggestion was more of a suggestion to make it taste better to the fish, but as for nutritionary needs, fish by itself doesn't need supplementing - just give your fish a varied diet, anyway. Try it chopped - and maybe not soak it in freshwater - Try chopping it up frozen, rinse, and put in the tank. See what happens.
and again, a few fish (individuals) seem to not enjoy them so much.
