Walked into 2 lfs after school both had a blue arowana for 200$ about 7" for sale. The main one I went to also had 2 motos for display about 4" and a tig that was 10" for 600. was like

Black arowana :grinyes:

buy the motos asap. i doubt there legal now, the store prolly jus got them and you should be the first to grab them. and the blue is actually a black. its a great fish tho

No he had them on display, and when he has fish on display = not for sale to florida residents. :) I already asked. I saw this arowana under silver about 4 weeks back but it was under a black light so I couldent tell if it was black or silver.. :(

I know rally I know :)

sry this is all about the blue ( black ) arowana that Were supose to be illegal in fl but I can buy now....

So did they pass a new law or are they still illegal?

Last I heard they are still ilegal. If you can and do buy them do not get caught with them in your car. They you will be charged for transporting them in the state. FYI - A little Birdie whispered in my ear that the FWC is thinking about putting the Pbass on the Florida Game fishing list. That means not more keeping them or selling them in the state of florida as a pet. That is just what I have heard around town from reputable people.

i drove over 4 hours with gars/rays in my car in cali. it was a fun experience lol

and are you sure putting them on the "game fishing list" makes them illegal to keep/sell? lmb in sd is a game fish and they sell them, we catch them n keep them. i dont even see how there gonna stop the catch n sell of that specie.

:screwy: The chances of someone stopping you are slim to none. Just don't yell out the window you have rays and a black aro in your car...

That may be the case. Go ask the guys sitting behind bars who had their wheel wells loaded with their goodies. When they were pulled over because their tail lights were out or forgot to use turn signals. Do you think they thought they would get caught. Sounds crazy, but it happens all the time. Unless you pockets are loaded, is it worth taking that chance.

As for the Pbass. That is what I heard. It may only apply to ones actually caught in Florida. It may never even happen.
