Not sure about this plan

If I can find them, I want to add a female Red Terror, Fire Mouth, and/or Salvini to my 75 gallon tank. The only cichlid in there now is a female convict. I will get rid of the Golden Wonders and Tigar barbs (or at least 1/2 of the barbs) to make room for more cichlids.

Will it work? I figure since there are no males in the tank it should be OK. I know the Fire Mouth or Salvini wouldn't cause a problem, it's the Red Terror I'm leary about.
 
Hey dont ever rule out the salvini, my 6 incher just helped kill my male red terror who had 3" on him, and is now the ruler of my 240, kicks my 11" jags ***. They can be just as mean as any other cichlid out there.

I really want the Feaste and Salvini mix, but I'm worried about over stocking with my eel in the tank.
 
So then nix the RD... or you can try it and see what happens.. as long as you have someone who will take one of them off your hands if it gets really nasty in there..
 
I want a RT too but i hear they can be real monsters. I would have another tank or someone to take the fish you didnt want the most if things got ugly. But like everything in keeping aggressive fish temperments are different from fish to fish...you might get lucky and get a fish that is more tolerant of tankmates. Just have a plan B and maybe C. I have also heard that if you raise some aggressive species together from juveniles they may be more tolerant of each other.
