my pregnant molly has some barely noticeable white on her side. it does not look like ick and the fish are pecking at her. she did rub herself on the stones so I dont think its anything but let me know what you all think. i cant post a picture because the white is not really visible, only when shes turned a certain way. thanx.
 
thank you so much for the site! you saved my fish.....or at least i hope so. i called that site and they told me my fish has colomaris.. (not sure of the spelling exactly) The petshop misdiagnosed my fish! to make sure i actually read about the 'sickness' and i called again and asked someone else and they said the same thing.
 
Yep, the fishfarmacy site is very useful for diagnosis purposes and is easy to follow too.......certainly worth bookmarking for future reference.
Sounds like they are really helpful over the phone too!

Good luck with treating the columnaris. I believe it's quite a nasty disease but at least you are on the right track now. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it turns out ok for you :thumbsup:
 
you know what the problem is........ i think it may be too late now. and the petshop probably wont know what to treat it with! actually, they dont i called them yesterday. i read on some sites that its treated with maracyn 2......... i have to see if they have that.
 
Thanx for that link again. I'll read it and I did start the Maracyn 2... i hope it works. the fish is still in good condition, shes eating nicely so maybe she will survive.
