but i am interviewing someone tomorrow with a job spec that strangely sounds like mine... i know the work load will be reduced, but at the same time i can almost sense that this is a sign. i've thought about leaving for a while now and although the economy is crap, i have a feeling if i go talk to my old boss from before i can probably land something i actually want to do. so in this sense if we do bring this guy on i may potentially find my own replacement, train him and leave on good terms and be able to move onto a new job elsewhere knowing i was responsible and accountable.
it's a strange logic i know, but at the same time i think this is a sign of things to come...
or maybe i'm just delirious and really tired from lack of sleep... and stressed from work...

It may be your replacement. It may not be. Not much you can do. Take life as it comes to you.

Even if it's not your replacement go talk to your old boss. You'll either land a new job or network for future possibilities. If you don't enjoy something then leave. Change is good. I am one of those who can't deal with the mundane.

Just remember, things alway happen for a reason. There's probably a better opportunity for you out there. Keep your head up..
