Was at the LFS the other day and they had these really nice smallish fish, i dnt remember the name of them but i rememer i having summin about dirt or mud in the name? they were small,brown and with a bump on their head? they were in the same tank as the severums. any ideas of what this might be as they loooked really cool =] thanks
 
Unless i was looking at the name of a different fish in that tank?, what fish is there that you know of that would have a clearly visible bump at a young age?
 
okay so i was looking at the wrong label! :screwy: after a while of looking at them i purchased two but am still no 100% what they are? "bullhead" ? or something? any ideas? hers a pic

this was supposed to be a peaceful species but it seems to bully alot even my convicts? help? the lfs said theyd be ok?
 
If you intend on keeping them, place a visual break at the center of the tank (ie; tall driftwood or rock). Then, provide enough caves (flowerpots are OK) to house all individuals plus, a couple of extras. Keep the cave entrances facing away from the competitive species. This will help reduce some, if not all, of the territorial aggression.
