Where The Wild Things Are
Random post but have you guys gone to your LFS picked the perfect fish out of the bunch to take home and it ended up being the deformed one of the tank somehow!

Somehow when i was in the 7th grade got my 1st silver aro i saw the one with the retared tail and i didnt want it but as soon as the guy at the pet put the net in the water they went nuts and he just grabed one and put in the bag right away and the way the fish was sitting in the bag i couldnt tell until i got home! ******* from that point i always double check even triple check!

No.... i ALWAYS check to see if its really the one that i picked, i wouldn't pay and walk out of the lfs without being sure.

Now that I work at the store I get most of my fish from, I net them myself, but even when I go to other stores, I double check either at the counter or when I get out to the car before I leave.

I haven't had that happen. The LFS I go to always has beautiful fish, so I don't have to worry about that.

I always check and double check while at the store. I check a few basicthings, make sure there are no missing eyes, fins, or other injury, also check for obvious signs of ich or external parasites, and most importantly, make sure there is no severly sunken belly or worms protruding from the fish's rear

Last summer i went to a LFS quite a good one but very run down to have a look and i was suprised to see 6" silver aros for £30, got one which was a greta price and in another tank they had 5 4" Indo dats. £12.50 bargain price one had whitespot but i thought id get 2 anyway, and he bags me one which i pointed out then he bagged another without looking and it was the one with whitepot.

when i say i want that one, not the one plastered with whitespot he got the face on,

My family are some of his best customers, my uncle must have soent a few hundred there as have i.
