Tanks broda! I'm just so anxious to get him into a nice pond. One with a lid and display window cut into it. About 5 or 6' tall. 12X12. I'm a carpenter in my 4th period of apprenticeship so I can pull it off my self. Just need the space and material.

I'd rather do it with Cement. The water pressure at the bottom of that 6ft tank is gonna be MASSIVE

Correct. The base of the pond/tank will be concrete. More like a 4 footer above ground pond. With the wall being made out of wood. I will do all the research and math and get a professional opinion. It will be a fun time consuming project. Cant wait.

bas it with cement, you could be alright with the rest wood. the extra bracing from the cement would work nice around the bottom

edit, sorry just read what ya wrote

Oh yeah, well at least your using Cement as the Base. I really want to extend my pond, and I plan to do that by the time I graduate college. Which is in three years. Its only 1 meter (3.5 feet) deep, and I kind of want to make it like a river shape. Materials are within reach, just the problem of where am I gonna put the fish while I extend it.

Get a pool from Walmart I heard they work good for a pond at least for temporary placement. I think they run about 150 bucks. Siphon out the water from your existing pond into the temp, to keep the balance so your fish dont freak. And extend that pond brotha. How big?
