Not very monster tank.

So I have this 10 gal tank just sitting in my closet not doing anything. What should I do with it. I want it to be more for looks than type of fish.

My first idea is a planted to tank filled with all kinds of plants and them have some tetras.

I'm very interested in doing a salt tank maybe some corals and a clown fish. I know small tank lots of evaporation but I can't buy pre mixed salt water from the LFS.

What other ideas or what one of mine.

Dwarf puffer i made a thread like this a while back for my 10 gallon, want to get a dwarf puffer but the lfs doesnt have them in het so for now it has 2 cories and 2 serpae tetras

I have a spare ten gallon sitting around as well. I'm thinking of doing a planted cherry shrimp tank.
 
How about planted with shrimp and various kids of snails? as common as they are, mystery snails are wonderful creatures when no aggressive fish is around...Mine regularly bully my guppies and tetras off their food.

If you really want to go the salt route you don't have to replace evaporation with saltwater,fresh water is fine.

Sure, just go into the general salt sub forum and look around.The dissolved salt stays in the remaining water when evaporation occurs.
