I have a 7-8'' Bala shark i have had he/she since January of this year,when i got him he was only like a half inch.So in 7 monthes he has grown at least 6 and a half inches,pretty good growth rate.Does anyone here know how big these guys max out at???I have thought about trading him in or giving him away but it was the 1st fish i put in the tank and my kids really love it.Any info on these fish is really appreciated,pics of big ones would be great!!!

Ive got one at 8", they can reach 15" Id say that 10" Is a good size, id keep him its not often that yousee large bala sharks.

It is safe to assume your Bala will not get over 1'.

I totally agree Bruce,and as i stated my kids and wife love this fish,so if i ever get rid of it i will be in the doghouse!!!

I have one in my 300 and it is growing nice;y. It needs to to keep up the arowanas and other monster. It is probably clost o 7 inches and growing.

These are one of my favorite fish of all time. I recently lost two at 7" a piece really sad. Want to get more but for some reason lfs like to keep these guys at higher prices than i would like.
