So im looking into making a 350+ tank for my Silver Aro this summer. I had this idea for a glass tank and was wondering if anyone on here has any idea's or suggestions.

My basic idea is to do this, Notch wood so that my glass sits in this notch. Make some supports beams horizontal to this notched frameto support the glass which will be on the bottom of what will be the tank floor.
so the glass sitting in te notch will be around 3 cm taller then the tanks actual height of 25 inches.

the wood frame idea would look like this roughly ..... I mean roughly......

If you forsee any problems that i dont or just have some constructive feedback post it please i would love to hear from anyone. Or if you think im stupid and there is a lot easier way post that too.

So basically you're making a wooden frame for the bottom rim of the tank?
In more words yes, i guess. the tank will have a groove it fits into that os attacked to the tank and will sit into the stand so its covered.
