So, last year I had a long tentacle anemone and when it was dying, i kept trying to flip it upright. At one point, most of his tentacles were touching me, and as they (LTAs) arent known for potent venom, I thought nothing of it.
Next day i had hives. Next day i had more.
The next day i was covered in itchiness worse than that of poison ivy rash.
Ive concluded that im allergic to the toxin in sea anemones, but i wasnt sure if it was just that of the LTA of if it was all anemones.
Yesterday i put a rock covered in majanos in my hermit crab tank. One fell off and stuck to my hand... By its tentacles. Aaannd... I had that odd hot feeling that comes with anemone stings.
Right now im kinda itchy.

Any updates on your reaction until now, Plec? Not the best idea to touch any anemones with bare hands nor fun to have one latched accidentally. I once bought one and the shop employee tried to handle it with bare hands. He reacted convulsively upon being stung by one.

Dosnt sound like fun I havnt had any reaction to any anemony I must be lucky but I will be sure to head the warnings from here on out.

Nothing really happened after that day. Some itchiness, but npthing much else. Im thinking maybe its just LTAs im allergic to, but i dont really wanna find out.
