there were some 1.5 inch pikes labelled as notopthalmus ( or something like that ) at the lfs.
they had males and females.
can anyone give me info about these guys?

had one around me at a LFS one time cool little pike but kinda pricey at least around here needs acidic water

They are often confused with Regani. True Notops 2nd and 3rd dorsal rays will be much longer. Also the black
dorsal spots will be encircled in red. Not a very common dwarf.
A month or two ago someone had some on Aquabid, but would not ship because of the cold weather.

If you go over to WW and look in the pike photo thread in the gallery, on last page Columma has posted a very nice photo of a male Notop.

well,if i did get one.
it would be eaten.
but seeing as how my lates is dead now,i have an extra tank.
but i think i'd rather growout a wolf.

i just realized that they dont really look like in the pic.
or almost.
the spot on the dorsal is red and theres a whitish spot behind the red spot.
but other than that they look the same.

Its possible they are regani, perhaps the TEFE variant. Females have more spots and are colored boldly. Check the males though, if they have the extended rays, they are notos.
