so it’s been a long 4 weeks since I picked up a used koi vat and converted it for a window now it’s just a waiting game for the new ray pond to be done here’s some pics hopefully in date order of the progress

Starting to mesh up

Insulation instillation

Vat in garage back and side insulation complete

Acrylic window arrived

Dry test fit


And installed

Just fish safe silicone sealer it is rated for plastic and fibreglass and I would assume the pressure will hold it together also

Am just using a kockney koi multi bay so I can seed it a lot easier using media I have in other tanks using same media I plan to use in this

Just keeping everything simple really less to go wrong

Looking forward to your progress. It’s my understanding that not many or no silicone will stick to acrylic like it will with glass? IDK. I’ve been contemplating doing this with a dumpster bin! and glass window.
