Hmmm that's odd. That looks like a white sturgeon.I think they are only found of the Pacific Northwest USA and South West Canada. Unless maybe they stocked them over there in Ontario but a sturgeon that size would be a really old fish.

An 11 ft. sturgeon with a realistically estimated weight of 750-800 lbs., landed by our guest Asger Michaelsen from Denmark after almost 3 hours of fight. Needless to say, that this is one of the largest sturgeon ever caught and carefully released in the Fraser River. Fraser River Lodge

This is a Sturgeon caught in April of this year in B.C on the Fraser River. It took 1 1/2 hours to land and it was 8' 6'' long, a fat one too! - Nicky.
8 ft sturgeon is going to be giving us both a bath in about a second ! hooked and landed in lovely little spot on the fraser.
