yeah apperently they can break glass, so if u keep them make sure its in an acrylic tank
 
I am deathly afraid of mantis shrimp. When I lived in FL we used to put our wooden nets down their wholes to try and crush them and our wooden nets would come out of their wholes with chunks of the wood taken off and splintered all over the tips of the net. My dad caught one once and the damn thing looked soooooo scary. It ripped right through the net after ripping its arm two or three times. They ARE TRUE MONTERS!!!!
